CodeFreeze terms of service

The agreement between Slatehouse and merchants using the CodeFreeze app.

Scope

These terms govern your use of the CodeFreeze app for Shopify, operated by Slatehouse (Fabian Eppinger, Munich, Germany). By installing the app you accept these terms. The general Slatehouse terms of service apply in addition.

The service

CodeFreeze lets you pause discount codes at checkout for defined campaign windows and maintain an allow-list of exempted codes. The app depends on the Shopify platform and its APIs; features may change where Shopify’s platform changes.

Your responsibilities

You remain responsible for your store’s discount strategy and for verifying that lockdowns are configured as intended — especially before high-stakes campaigns. Test your configuration ahead of time.

Availability

I aim for high availability but the app is provided without a guaranteed uptime. Checkout enforcement runs inside Shopify’s infrastructure and is not affected by the app backend’s availability once a lockdown is active.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by German law, liability is limited to intent and gross negligence, and for slight negligence only for breaches of essential contractual duties, capped at the fees paid in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can end the agreement at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify Admin. All stored data is deleted within 48 hours of uninstall (see the privacy policy).

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Place of jurisdiction is Munich.
